💥💥 ONE WEEK AWAY 💥💥
Can you believe it!
We’re getting everything ready for a smooth first day and feeling great about the work we’ve done to make sure vendors can keep selling in Clark Park. That being said, there are a few updates and things to keep in mind as we prepare for next Saturday, April 6th. See below for more info on the schedule, parking, vendor check-in, and L&I.
Vendors for April 6th will also receive an email next week from Marketspread with more specific instructions.
Schedule Change
The schedule has been updated due to conflicts with other permits:
August 17th (Uhuru) and November 9th (Peoplehood Parade) were removed from the schedule.
May 11 and June 29 were added to the Bizarre schedule.
Please go to marketspread.com if you want to sign up for the new dates.
Parking Passes
Great news! Chester Ave will have temporary NO PARKING signs during the market. They will be ticketing all cars. This should free up a lot of space!
We will have a placard for your car to designate you as a vendor so you don’t get ticketed.
Other parking reminders:
- No double parking on the trolley tracks – EVER!
- Do not idle your car – clean air is IMPORTANT!
- Double park on 43rd only for loading and unloading – do NOT leave your car there for the duration of the market. It creates a traffic jam.
Vendor Check In
If it is your first time at the market, please check-in at the orange West Philly Bizarre tent. We have a Welcome Kit for you and other important information.
We will also support you with any other issues:
- Where your booth is located
- Help with Marketspread – payments, scheduling, etc.
- Make note of any issues or concerns
Catherine (Director) and John (Market Operator) will be there all day. This is also our first time operating the market, so your patience is much appreciated!
L&I and Ticketing
Please remember and remind others that L&I will begin ticketing April 6th and into the future. We do not know when they will show up. Vendors will be given badges in their Welcome Kit to show that they are operating under our permit. If there are any issues, please go to the orange West Philly Bizarre tent.
This is not something we advocated for, this is what the city and Parks & Rec have decided to do. Last April, they gave us one year to create an organization to hold the permits and insurance for vendors, which is why West Philly Bizarre was created.
